Gokyo Lake Trekking starts from Lukla after half an hour mountain flight from Kathmandu. The trail passes through the numerous settlements of different ethnic groups including Tamang,Sherpas, Rai, Brahmin, and Chhetris. Following up the Dudh Koshi River towards Namche, the gateway of Khumbu region. Fron Namche you take trail towards the sleepy village of Phortse Tenga and finally reach your ultimate destination Gokyo Lake passing Dole and Machhermo. Climbing Gokyo Ri (5357m) close to Gokyo Lake offers spectacular views of Mt. Everest and other three 8000 meter peaks (Mt. Cho Oyu, Lhotse and Makalu). You could also see largest glacier in Nepal named Ngozumpa, native flora and fauna, rhododendron forests, forest, animal, birds, magnificent, mountains, and monasteries. Apart from them the view of the tremendous ice ridge between Cho Oyu and Gyachung Kang (7922m) is one of the most dramatic panoramas of Gokyo Lake Trekking. Brief ItineraryDay 01: Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Day 03: Fly to Lukla (2840 m) & trek to Phakding (2610 m).
Day 04: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440 m).
Day 05: Rest Day at Namche Bazaar.
Day 06: Trek to Phortse Tanga (3680 m).
Day 07: Trek to Machhermo (4410 m).
Day 08: Trek to Gokyo (4790 m).
Day 09: Climb Gokyo Ri (5460 m) & back to Gokyo & trek to Thagna (4700 m).
Day 10: Cross Cho La (5330 m) to reach Dzonghla (4830 m).
Day 11: Trek to Lobuche(491 m).
Day 12: Trek to Gorakshep/Kalapatthar.
Day 13: Everest BC (5375 m) & Gorakshep.
Day 14: Trek to Dingboche (4410 m).
Day 15: Trek to Tengboche (3860 m).
Day 16: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440 m).
Day 17: Trek to Lukla (2840 m).
Day 18: Fly Lukla to Kathmandu.
Day 19: Rest day in Kathmandu.
