The Langtang Valley is a beautiful alpine region to the North of Kathmandu bordering Tibet. It offers a multitude of trekking destinations with splendid variety of natural and cultural diversity and a spectacular view of the Himalayas. It has over 70 glaciers of varying sizes, covered with pine, spruce and juniper forests and the habitat for the red panda, different kinds of deer and many species of birds. Langtang region also comprises of rich Tamang art and culture at Gutlang and Goljung. Ancient Buddhist monasteries such as Kyangin and Sing-Gumpa are located on the trail as well as Tatopani (natural hot springs) and the historic fort of Rasuwa-gadi in the china-Nepal border.

The Langtang region offers treks throughout the series of north to south running valley that are all accesssible without flying. It offers the gratest diversity with the least effort of any trek in Nepal. It is the third popular tea house-lodges based trekking in Nepal.

The major areas in Langtang are Langtang
, Gosainkunda, Helambu, PanchPokhari and TamangHerithae Trail. These can all be combined in a variety of ways to the make the trek anywhere from 7 to 16 days.

Brief Itinerary

Day 01:          Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel.

Day 02:          Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1610m) by bus (7 hours driving).

Day 03:          Trek from Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel (2480m) (walking 5:30 hours).

Day 04:          Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang village (3541m) (walking 5 hours).

Day 05:          Trek from Langtang village to KyangjinGompa (3900m) (walking 2:30 hours).

Day 06:          Hike uptoChorkari (5050m) and back to KyangjnGompa (walking 5:30 hours).

Day 07:          Trek down to Lama hotel (2480m) (walking 6 hours).

Day 08:          Trek from Lama Hotel to ThuloSyabru (2200m) (walking 5:30 hours).

Day 09:          Trek from ThuloSyabru to Sing Gompa (3580m) (walking 5 hours).

Day 10:          Trek from Sing Gompa to Gosainkunda (4381m) (walking 5:30 hours).

Day 11:          Cross over the Lauribinapass and descend to Ghopte (3420m) (walking 6:30 hours).

Day 12:          Trek from Ghopte to Kutumsang (2540m) (walking 5:30 hours).

Day 13:          Trek from Kutumsang to Chisopani (2110m) (walking 6 hours).

Day 14:          Trek from Chisopani to Sundarijal and drive by car to Kathmandu. (walking 4 hours and driving for half an hour).

Day 15:          Transfer to airport for departure.
