ImjaTse peak, at a height of 6,160 meters, is more popularly known by the name of Island Peak. The peak was named Island peak by Eric Shipton’s party in 1953, as the peak resembles an island in a sea of ice when viewed form Dingboche. Later in 1983, the peak was renamed as Imja

Tse. Island peak was first ascended in 1953 by a British team as preparation for climbing Everest. Tenzing Norgay was one of the members who successfully ascended it. Island peak is part of the south ridge of Lhotse Shar and the main land forms a semicircle of cliffs that rise to

the north of the summits of Nuptse, Lhotse, Middle Peak and Lhotse Shar. Cho Polu and Makalu lie to the east of the Island Peak. Baruntse, Amphu and AmaDablam lie to the south.  Island Peak climbing and trekking that takes you into the heartland of the Khumbu, Gokyo (4,750m/15,584ft) and Everest Base Camp (5,357m/17,575ft).

Day 01:   Arrive to Kathmandu & transfer to Hotel-1350m.

Day 02:   Kathmandu valley sightseeing-1350m and preparation

Day 03:   Kathmandu – Lukla [2,800 m/9,184 ft]-Phakding [2,652 m/8,700 ft]: 35 min flight; 3-4 hours trek.

Day 04:   Phakding -Namche Bazaar [3,440 m/11,283 ft]: 5-6 hrs.

Day 05:   Namche Bazaar [3,440 m/11,283 ft]: Acclimatization Day.

Day 06:   Namche Bazzar to Dole [4,110 m/ 13,152 ft]: 5-6 hrs.

Day 07:   Dole – Machhermo-[4,470 m/ 14,663 ft]: 4-5 hrs.

Day 08:   Machhermo – Gokyo [4800 m/15,744 ft]: 4-5 hrs .

Day 09:   Gokyo Valley: Acclimatization Day.

Day 10:   Hike – GokyoRi [5,330 m/17,483 ft] – Thaknak [4750 m/15,580 ft]: 5-6 hrs.

Day 11:   Thaknak – Cho-la Pass (5367 m/17,604 ft) – Lobuche (4940 m/16,207 ft): 8-10 hrs.

Day 12:   Lobuche- Everest Base Camp [5364 m/17,594 ft]-GorakShep [5170 m/16,961ft]: 6-7 hrs.

Day 13:   GorakShep – Kala Patthar [5545 m/18,192 ft] – Lobuche [4940 m/16,207 ft]: 7-8 hrs.

Day 14:   Lobuche – Kongma La (5,535m/18,159ft)-Chhukung [4,730m/15,518ft]: 6-7 hrs .

Day 15:   Chhukung -Island Peak Base camp [5,200m/17,060ft]: 3-4 hours.

Day 16:   Island Peak Base Camp to High Camp [5,600m/18,372ft]: 2-3 hours.

Day 17:   High camp to summit to Base camp to Chhukung: 8-10 hours.

Day 18:   Reserve Day for Contingency .

Day 19:   Chhukung to Namche Bazar: 8-9 hours.

Day 20:   Namche Bazaar to Lukla: 6-7 hours .

Day 21:   Fly back- Lukla to Kathmandu .

Day 22:   Departure from Kathmandu.
